The I Encuentro Internacional del Grupo de Estudios Legislativos de la ALACIP was held at UFMG in Belo Horizonte last week, and it was a huge success. A good number of ALACIP members were there, but for those who were not, you should know that Magna In\u00e1cio and Mariana Llanos did a fantastic job in putting this event together. The papers were of high quality, the debates were stimulating, and the whole event was impeccably organized.<\/p>\n
It was also extremely gratifying to have Glaucio there to speak on behalf of ALACIP as a whole. For all of the other standing groups within ALACIP — which Glaucio has worked hard to foster — this Belo Horizonte symposium is truly a model to emulate.<\/p>\n
\u000bI would like to congratulate Mariana, Magna, and the entire team at the Centro de Estudos Legislativos of UFMG for this outstanding achievement.
