The Center for Metropolitan Studies (CEM) is an interinstitutional research center headquartered at the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (USP) and the Cebrap (Brazilian Center of Planning and Analysis).<\/p>\n

The selection will be a two-stage process. In the first stage, the candidate\u2019s curriculum vitae will be analyzed and their research project scrutinized (see model at\u00a0https:\/\/www.fapesp.br\/materia. <\/p>\n The candidate\u2019s profile and academic background will be borne in mind as much as the scientific quality of the presented research proposal.\u00a0The relevance of the candidate\u2019s research proposal to CEM main lines of research will be of fundamental importance. To learn more about projects and ongoing research, see details about the ongoing CEPID project in this page\u00a0https:\/\/www.fflch.usp.br\/ <\/p>\n Candidates shortlisted from the first stage will be called for an interview with the Selection Committee. The final number of candidates selected will depend upon the merits of the proposal and on the performance in the interview.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Proposals must be received by\u00a0May 12th, 2014<\/strong>\u00a0(whether posted or sent via internet). The results of the first selection stage will be made known by\u00a0May 26th, 2014<\/strong>, when successful candidates will be announced.
