Distinguished researcher, The Center for Economic and Fiscal Research (CIEP for its acronym in spanish) is pleased to announce this Call for Papers on Education and Public Finance. The main purpose is to promote research and critical analysis on issues that link education and public finance. It is important for us that student, teachers, researchers, policy makers and decision makers, collaborate in the study and dissemination of this important topic. We kindly ask you to extend this invitation to anyone who might be interested.
The authors are invited to submit theoretical and/or applied papers in any area related to the study of education and public finance. Selected papers will be presented at the "Education and Public Finance: Advances in research" seminar, which will be held on February 2013 in Mexico City, Mexico. Also, it will be shared at the international summit of the Global Development Network. A single author may collaborate with a maximum of two papers.
The research topics are:
· Public spending on education.
· Effects of education in public revenues.
· Financing of education.
· Efficiency – Equity – Effect.
· Transition from school to work.
· Employment dynamics of graduates.
· Economic impact of education in households.
· Human capital and economic growth.
· Education markets.
· Evaluation and Public Policies.
· Design and creation of education indicators.
Papers should be submitted electronically to info@ciep.mx. The deadline for completed papers isOctober 31, 2012.

An anonymous committee will select the papers to be presented at the seminar. The decision will be notified during the second week of January, 2013. Selected papers will be published and distributed electronically.
